Custom Input Field

Hello Shopify Community,

I’m trying to add a custom input field under my product pages, similar to the one in the screenshot below (marked in red). It includes:

A text input field for customers to add a custom message or their TikTok username.

It should be linked to the product and show up in the order details for my reference.

How can I implement this? Is there a built-in Shopify feature or an app that can help me achieve this? Alternatively, can I customize my theme (Dawn, for example) to include this functionality?

I’d appreciate detailed steps or any recommendations for apps/code snippets to get started!

You can use line item property for your requirements. Line item properties are used to collect customization information for an item added to the cart. This information can be collected from the buyer on the product page. Here is the link from where you can generate the code and also there is instruction how to use the code.

Thank you for your quick response and the information about line item properties. I checked, but it seems that in my case, there is no product.liquid file available. Could you clarify if there’s an alternative method or file where I can implement this?

Thank you for sharing the tutorial link! I watched the video and followed the steps carefully. However, when I reached the part where I had to implement "test," it wouldn’t show, even after trying the fixes suggested in the video.

Could you provide additional guidance or let me know if there might be something specific in my setup causing this issue?
