Customise checkout

Hi, 

I am looking to add a small section to my shopify checkout to ask customers if they wish to have the product wrapped as a present and / or add a hand-written message. I am too small for shopify plus and I am looking for simply an additional communication field which would appear in any order with any special requests from the customers.
