Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
In the Dawn 2.0 html schema does not render in browser.
In the main-product.liquid theme file: line 479 "script type="application/ld+json" has the settings for the schema.org product settings. When the page is rendered, the schema code is not being inserted in the html on the page for the product information.
Asking support is useless, they cannot answer the question and directed me to contact experts.shopify a paid service. Why should I have to pay to get an answer about something that is in their code that is not working?
Hi @brokerobot,
The schema is for SEO purposes. It is a script file and intended to be hidden
Hi @joeanderson1952,
I do not know how to route your question but I would suggest starting a new question in the Shopify community so people can answer to your question.

I know what the schema is and how it should render additional attributes in the html. What I was trying to get across is that the additional mark up isnt being rendered into the browser based on the JS snippet. i.e. it is missing: itemprop name, itemscope itemtype ....
I am sorry, I misunderstood. Is the value null? You tried calling it in the console and checking the values right?
I am not sure how to check the values in the console. The schema info should be rendered by the browser when I view source or inspect it. In the screen shot of the code you can see that there is no schema attributes
In the Dawn 2.0 theme, the browser does not render the HTML schema. The issue is found on the website of ocean1 the main product liquid theme file at line 479, where the script type=" application/ld+json " settings for the schema.org product are not being inserted into the HTML for product information.
