Dawn theme - make (multiple) image banners clickable

Hi Shopify community

I've looked at other threads on this topic, but none are working (or they are maybe outdated)

The closest that comes to answering my query is below:

As seen in below screenshot, my website homepage has a collage of images that I would like to be clickable

When I tried the code in the above link, it flattened the height of all of my image banners so they just all looked like long horizontal strips

Also, the code was somewhat broken

Does anyone have a solution to this?
