Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
I am uploading high quality images for my products that look great everywhere on my website except for my product page on desktop. I find that even though I am uploading the images to Shopify at a minimum of 2048x2048px, it always defaults to 990x990px intrinsic size. This causes the photos to be very blurry on larger monitors and I am looking for a way to force the intrinsic size to load with certain dimensions.
Hi @Dune
Could you share your store URL to check?

theres only one test product on there right now, the image is very high quality on the homepage but you can see when you inspect it that it defaults to 990x990px on the product page. It looks very blurry on larger screens.
If I upload a 4000x4000 pixel image, I want it to default to 4000x4000 everywhere it appears and not be downscaled to 990x990 pixels.
Hi @Dune
Could you try to change Media settings of product in Online Store > Themes > Customize > Products > Default product and then check again?

It did not make any difference unfortunately. I think this is an issue that will have to be resolved in the theme's code.
Did you change Media fit and use Original option?

Have you edited the code in product-thumbnail.liquid file of your theme?

I think I've tried a few solutions but to no avail. Do you have any ideas?
If you change the option of Media but it does not solve the issue, please revert product-thumbnail.liquid file to Orginal version, save file, reload your product page and check again.

Still no difference.
Make sure you reload your page after changing and check in the theme that you edited the file.
