Dawn Theme - product images selected are moved to the front of the carousel

Hello,

Our website (customized Dawn theme) has this feature that when the product variant is selected, the product image is moved to the front of the carousel.

Does anyone know how we can disable that feature and keep the selected variant image in the same place/order?
