I am new to Shopify and I decided just last week to utilise the BLOG option on Shopify. Unfortunately, I literally wrote one sentence, and quickly realised that I received basically a 'broken' product right out of the box.

I write words or place a table with words in it, and the words continue into infinity off the edge of the blog page (see the screenshot below). I know it's simple code to fix this and no, I am not going to pay another shop to fix this. I already pay monthly for Shopify's services, and the software engineers can't get text wrapping fixed...???   -- it's like buying a brand new car from Toyota and they tell me to take my brand new car where the lights don't work, over to Honda.

I have already spent about 3 hours every night for a week looking for solutions online and none of them work for Dawn theme. I have deleted my entire blog once and started brand new, and that's what you see above.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm about to just stop my subscription and go elsewhere.

Could we possibly get the url of your store so we can inspect it with crhome and see what would be needed to fix this?

www.petitegems.ca   --- Okay, I just made the blog visible, so you can find it by looking at the top menu and going to the last menu item. I've deleted all blogs and the only one you'll see is the new one. If you need me to make a 2nd blog just as a tester, let me know. Thank you for your help:)

That should fix your problem 🙂

What was happening was something that is called word wrap. Since you were using an unbroken line of a's, the site treats that as a single word and tries to keep it as such. As long as your don't have any super long words like that you should be fine lol 😄

Okay, I see what you mean. Before I did the 'aaaaa' blog, I had 5 blogs started and the 1st one had a table and a long (real words, lol) paragraph, And it was cascading off the page. I just inserted a table just now, and the table is falling off the page still. Would you know how to keep the table under the paragraph, as well?

For this issue, it looks like your table is setting a set width for the columns. You would need to remove the width setting completely for it to be responsive.

Or set them to 33%

Hi there, I think you fixed it somehow. The 'lorem ipsum' paragraph above that I pasted in is sitting like a paragraph in the middle of the screen, instead of cascading off the edge of the screen. How did you do you that?!:)
