Different margins on the sides on desktop/mobile

Hello,

I'm using this code in theme.liquid and i'm using the Refresh theme:

Because I want margin/padding on the sides to make it look like this.

But because of the code, it is set to have the same margin on both desktop and mobile, which of course makes it look very bad on mobile. So I'm wondering how to either make it have different margins on desktop and mobile or if you know any other solution. Thanks for the help!
