Does anyone know of a theme that can do a product list similar to this....

This image shows a collection for a certain type of bolt then it lists a ton of individual products in a way that is very easy to look through the list for your specific size. I'd like to find a theme that can do SIMILAR, I know i wont get exact, but one where the collection page can utilize this condensed list format as well as quick add would be great....at this link when you click one of the product items in the list a quick add where you can add desired quantity pops up. Makes it very easy to shop this site since you can see a lot of product at once, especially helpful when you need a lot of these products.

I don't have time to download every theme to test them all....does anyone know of some themes that can at least get me close to this type of product view? Thank You for any advice!

The closest thing to that is the "trade theme" on wich you can add a quick buy list of all the variants of a product, i dont know about private themes.

Yes, I really wanted something similar that is in the collection listing products, but I could do this as a backup plan. However that Trade theme has very bad reviews, that makes me somewhat hesitant to have to rely on it for our business.  My main reason for wanting to do products rather than variants is some products will have too many variants based on Shopify's 100 limit variant, I can probably find a way to break them up but really think it would just be best to follow the way McMaster decided to do their site (we will have hardware like the McMaster site) and create individual products rather than 100 variants then have them listed in a condensed easy to see them all format on a collection page.

Yeah, we looked through hundreds and then just built our own from Franken-Dawn themes and Shopify Plus custom for larger demands. We build for suppliers and have never found out of the box themes for all the stuff you need. We've been making our own versions for clients with bulk/ctl, multi tier, kits, wholesale pricing, unique shipping methods, 100k+ SKUs, and then all those cart and checkout functions that you need to sell supply chain products (lighting, electrical, hvac, home, components, fasteners...) We had to build custom draft order systems since those had always been weird on Shopify. Happy to see the B2B feature push from Shopify but still plenty left for partners to create.

I'd love to build a custom theme but I'm afraid I probably cant afford that. I'd imagine its very expensive and whenever it needs  updating doesn't it lose a lot of its custom work and have to be all redone?  Is there a theme that you think is close or one that is close enough that it can just be mildly customized to work good? The closest I've found that I like so far is a new theme called Keystone (version Kingpin) built by Brickspace Labs.....I have no idea if its very good code or not as I don't know code well enough to know what I'm looking at. I mostly have to do everything with a theme and apps and spending a little money on mild customizations. But since you guys have looked though hundreds are there any that you think come closest that you can recommend? I've heard Flex from Out of the Sandbox probably has the most features and flexibility, I might download it and look it over. I have a budget of like $1000-$1500 to get a theme and some mild customizations then apps for other specific needs. So I'm trying to get as close as I can with a theme so I don't have to spend too much on customizing it. I don't care about built in filter or megamenu because I will probably have to use a app for them anyway, built in versions usually aren't feature rich enough.

Good luck, let us know if you find a solution, interested too on a wholesale funcional theme too, unfortunately shopify themes are only for selling clothes...

Ha yep for screen printing clothing type shops! We work with clothing manufacturers who have the same deep core business requirement list no matter the industry/sector- it's very long and highly technical for a B2C/B2B/Wholesale for a parts/supplier/distributor/manufacturer-direct type of business. Price tiers/breaks, EDI, ERP, Invoicing, Terms, Shipping etc... none of this is out of the box. But neither is your business so make it the right way. Slapping black/red/chrome colors on a theme and calling yourself an auto parts niche store is a quick way to disappoint your customer base.

Themes are simply starting points to get a simply store up and running - it's Shopify's out-of-the-box answer to eBay/Etsy. But once you need functions that are important to your vertical and your customer needs, then it's time to customize. For low budget stores we start with Dawn or Warehouse and build out from there. There's a reason you can't get every bell and whistle in a complete all-in-one theme and that's because every store owner has a different view of what they want (hot tip: they're usually wrong and we help guide them towards a better performing store - we've seen and heard it all in the supplier/distributor/manufacturer world.) Here's a basic store that we customized but have left out the bulk ordering mechanics which we used an app and then customized that with the help of the developer. If you can find an app that does mostly what you want - reach out to the dev and see what they can offer - they are usually very helpful to boost their own app's usage. Feel free to DM me - there are always creative ways around budgets when you look at the big picture.
