Does your announcement bar still scroll or auto-change?

We don't use auto-scrolling very often for text in our announcement bar, so I can't say when our store's banner text scroll option stopped working. At Shopify's suggestion, I tested the animation on a freshly installed Dawn theme, and I went back to an earlier version of my theme (Impact by Maestroo) to check. I know it worked in January, however, the scrolling doesn't work on these today. Support ticket already in place with the front-end team.

Just curious if anybody else had this function stop on their themes as well?

As far as I understand, announcement bars are highly specific to your theme, so this issue might not be happening with other people's stores if they're on different themes.

 

When you say you've submitted a support ticket to the "front-end team," who do you mean? Are you talking about the theme developers, or a team at Shopify? If it's the latter, I highly recommend reaching out to the developers of your theme, as they're the ones who can most likely help you.

It's been passed off to someone by my Shopify support agent:
" it seems we need further time to investigate this concern with our front-end team."

Yeah, definitely reach out to the theme developers.

Which is why I am asking the community if it's a Shopify-wide thing or just my store
My concern was passed along, it's an in-progress support ticket.
"...it seems we need further time to investigate this concern with our front-end team."
