Drop down menu not working on custom product template pages

I created a custom product template so that I could remove the visible price on certain products. However, now when I'm on one of those product pages the drop downs in the main menu don't work. Also, the logo background in the header no longer looks transparent on these product pages.
Can anyone help me?
