Editing mobile announcement bar size

I am trying to make the announcement bar on mobile thinner than it is now. 

The bar is too thick compared to the text size. I need it to be half size of the original.

Follow these Steps:

1) Go to Online Store
2) Edit Code
3) Find theme.liquid file
4) Add the following code in the bottom of the file above </body> tag.

@media screen and (max-width: 767px) {
.announcement-bar {
    padding: 0 !important;
}
}
</style>

RESULT:
