Email Signup form & Social media icons not showing in footer in Refresh theme Ver 9.0.0

Hi
I'm in the midst of building my store website using the free theme Refresh Ver 9.0.0. This is my first time using Shopify.
I'm encountering two below listed issues with the footer section.

 

Issue : 1 

I'm unable to see the email signup banner even though I have configured it as per the template.

Although I can edit the fields in the EMAIL SIGNUP section in THEME SETTINGS for Refresh theme, the signup form doesn't show up in the footer after saving the settings, or refreshing the page on Chrome browser.

I have tried changing the color scheme for the footer section but it's still not showing.

SHOW EMAIL SIGNUP option box is ticked  (in Footer section side panel on the right side).

 

Side note :
I don't know if this would be useful but I notice that when choosing each of the field in the EMAIL SIGNUP in the FOOTER section, the   page would scroll up.

Moving my mouse pointer over the HEADING field, the the store page would scroll up by itself.
If I move over the next section SUBHEADING, gin the store page would scroll up.
The same happens when choosing EMAIL FORM.


Issue : 2

Not able to see social media icons with links in footer section.

I have input my business FB and Instagram URL in the SOCIAL MEDIA section found in THEME SETTINGS for Refresh theme.


SOCIAL MEDIA ICONS option box is ticked (in Footer section side panel on the right side)
FB and Instagram URLs have been entered in the THEME SETTING section (in Footer section side panel on the right side).

I have been trying our different advices YouTube video instruction and Blogs but none seems to solve my problem.

Hope someone can assist me on this.

Hey Amson, I had the exact same problem. The solution that worked for me was, I stopped my adblocker (uBlock Origin). I noticed that it somehow worked on a different browser so I tested out all of my extensions and somehow it was uBlock Origin. I recommend you check your adblockers for lists that block out these elements. I'll include the lists that blocked out mine. I hope this helps.help.jpg

Hey Amson, I had the exact same problem. The solution that worked for me was, I stopped my adblocker (uBlock Origin). I noticed that it somehow worked on a different browser so I tested out all of my extensions and somehow it was uBlock Origin. I disabled Fanboy's settings in AdBlock like you said.  Your method solved my problem.

All this while I thought that my Shopify theme file was corrupt or something. Before I saw your reply, I viewed my website on Firefox browser and the email and social media function were showing. Then I view the website on another laptop using Chrome and guess what? The website was showing the email and the icons perfectly. From then on I knew it was my Chrome browser but didn't know what I should do in Chrome to fix the problem.
