Expanse Theme: How to change the navigation menu width and style

I have been searching online for ways to change the width and customize the dropdown menu to match the image below. I am also just using the trial version right now, I don't see anywhere I can edit the code.

As you can see in the first image, the second level is in a small box, but I want it to look like the one below, with full width. Additionally, I want to make the hover underline much thinner. Please help!
