Favicon not showing

Hi all, 

I have a favicon that i have inputed on the theme settings. This shows up on the tab but not on google. 

It seems that it needs to be  in multiples of 48x48 but shopify downsizes to 32x32?

Maybe this is the issue but I'm not sure. 

Any help will be most appreciated!

To solve this you can try these suggestions:

1. If you recently update the favicon, i suggest to request and recrawl your site again, this will make everything up-to-date to Google

2. You can try another image, or even forced it to show by add the line of code below the current in theme:

<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="//unclegym.co.uk/cdn/shop/files/Fav-removebg-preview.png?crop=center&amp;height=32&amp;v=1721556242&amp;width=32">
