Featured Collection - Custom Template - Not Saving

I'm trying to create a custom template for blog posts in the Dawn theme.  I would like to add a featured collection to the bottom of the page. 

I can do this in the editor.  When I tell the theme what collection to use, it correctly displays the correct collection products in the editor.   But I'm not given an option to save the template.  When I click the 'x' to exit the collection selection, it reverts back to the place holder products.

I can't figure this one out.  Any ideas.

Hi @mwbyrd 

You must click Select button after selecting a collection then you can save your template
