featured product cannot be removed from store preview

There is a featured product but there is no way to interact with it, even after hiding everything on the page, it still shows, but there isnt anything shown in customize menu.

Do you want to delete the featured product section on the home page?

steps:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
2. Click Customize for your current theme.
3. Navigate to the Collections page in the theme editor.
4. Find the "Featured Product" section or any relevant block.
5. Either delete the section by selecting Remove Section, or hide it by unchecking its visibility.

I have followed these steps but i cannot seem to find the "Featured Product" section in the Collections page.
It appears when i preview the store but not when i customize the store, i have also clicked Save.
