i want to insert a small whatsapp icon and beside it my whatsapp number .
actually i know how to link the number to direct open .

You can add it using some custom code in your theme.

Exact the same way like the email and icon is added.

i didn't use any codes , i get this email icon as a text then copy paste .
but can't find any whatsapp icons as text ever .
