Forward to external link (metafield) when clicking on a product photo on the landing page?

I am using the Dawn theme.

Is it possible to get forwarded to an external link when clicking on a product photo on the landing page?

I have already managed to follow @made4Uo 's solution and implemented the meta fields as outlined here: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/link-photo-to-external-website/td-p/1643063.

Now I also want to forward to the metafield link when clicking on a product photo (in the featured collection I guess, but not sure if that is the right label) on the landing page.
