Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello,
I recently decided to migrate my website from Squarespace to Shopify and am working on replicating its original design. Right now, I'm focusing on the grid gallery in the "projects" section and trying to make it look similar to this example https://www.voodoo-warehouse.com/portfolio-2/project-one-ephnc-c2sgj-x8r92-f3ywc-fyb58-pgdzm
on my Shopify site. I haven’t been able to find a grid app or code that arranges images in the same way as Squarespace. My images vary greatly in size, making it challenging to find a good solution.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hey @voodoowww123
If your theme doesn't have an Image Grid section then you will have to custom-code it in your theme files. If you're not familiar with coding then I highly suggest you to hire a Shopify developer who can help you out with all of those changes smoothly. Let me know if you want me to help you out and I would be more than happy to help you code a custom section.
Best Regards,
Moeed
Hello @voodoowww123 ,
You can design a section with page builder app
Alternatively you have to develop a section a/to the refrence design.
Thanks
Hi @voodoowww123,
You can use app builder for this section, it will display well.
Or if you don't want to install the app, I can help you customize it with theme code. Because this is a complex request and can not guide in detail, if you want I can check it with collaborator invitation
Yes, please! I'm eager to fix this. I'd prefer to add the code, as I didn't like the apps I tried. Here's the code: 9177. Thank you so much! 🙂
Hi @voodoowww123,
Yes, I sent you the request
Hey, any update on it? thanks
Hi @voodoowww123,
Sorry missed message.
I checked and it will need additional JS library for this. Therefore, you need to hire a professional if you want to add it.
Hope it helps!
I purchased a widget to add photo galleries to a specific section from the "Section Store," but it's appearing on every blog page instead of just the one I intended. I understand that I need to use metaobjects to fix this, but I'm having trouble figuring it out. Do you know of any tutorials or could you guide me through the steps to place each gallery on its respective blog post? I'd like to learn how to do this since I'll need to do it regularly. Thanks in advance!
Hi @voodoowww123,
Please send me blog link and app name, I will check it
blog link where I want the gallery to show only: https://5040a0-ff.myshopify.com/blogs/projects/editorial-vicky-christina-barcelona-2024
app name: "SECTION STORE" and the widget is called "SS - Gallery #4" https://apps.shopify.com/section-factory?locale=es
Hi @voodoowww123,
I checked and it shows section, you want it to show list of images for each individual post? Or will there be several posts using the same image list?
This will require creating a Metaobject and editing the section again. If you want to continue, I can add it for the lowest cost.
Please let me know.
I want to show list of images for each individual post, let me know how we can continue
Hi @voodoowww123,
Can you send me an email? It will help me guide you in more detail.
