Hi Shopify Community,

Can anyone advise why my announcement bar color is not lining up with my text? image attached. The text is supposed to be in the lime green bar.

I've used the code from a previous thread but it didn't work.

I am using the "ride" theme.

The issue can be you are use wrong style for announcement bar.

This is the code solved for your issue.

.announcement-bar-section .utility-bar {
  height: max-content;
}

To import that code you need go to

Admin -> Online Store -> Themes (Choose the live theme currently) -> Customize Code -> Assets -> base.css

Then click to that file and add the code at to the bottom of file.

Ok that seems to have solved the problem. However, i now have another issue. When i am customizing my theme i no longer have the option to choose the country. So the theme I have access to customize is not the correct South African theme. Previously I had to select South africa from the drop down and then i could customize the theme which I've published. I've marked the area where this option was previously accessible. Can you please advise?

Hi Ditaltek,

Ok that issue I've resolved by reading another thread. Could you please assist with the following. There's some text below my announcement bar which id like to remove. Is this possible and can i adjust my announcement bars dimensions in any way so that it doesn't overlap with the rest of my content.

I saw you make hide the announcement section on your site, so about to remove the text you can check in announcement section file first.
