HELP adding a graphic to all pages above footer

I am having trouble adding a graphic above the footer to all of the pages. I want this to display on all the pages at all times. I followed instructions as to adding it in into the assets folder of my theme (Dawn2.0) and then to theme.liquid which worked, but the image looks way to big and distorts the page when in mobile. Is there any way to make the image smaller or make it fit into the page without messing up the whole thing ? Please help, attached is a picture of how it currently looks.
