Help Adding Google Reviews to Dawn Theme

Where do I add the Opt-In Integration code from Google to set up Google Customer Reviews?  I have accepted the Google terms and have the integration code.  Just not sure where to paste the code?  Also, it says that  <!DOCTYPE HTML> must be added to the top of every webpage.  How do I check that?

Hi @smandabach

You can go to your Theme > Customize > If there is no custom HTLM section, click Add section > Select custom HTML > Paste the embed code > Save.

You can also consider using an app to show Google Reviews:
Show Facebook / Google Reviews (Free plan available)
Fera Product Reviews App (Free plan available)

@AvadaCommerce

Is Custom Liquid the same as Custom HTML?  I don't have an option for Custom HTML when I go to Themes/Customize then click Add Section.  Also, when I click customize, it opens the options for the home page.

Hi @smandabach

Sorry for missing your message. May I know which theme you're using?

Hello, Google is telling me that in order for Seller Ratings to work, I must:

Be sure that the confirmation page uses the HTML5 DOCTYPE:

<!DOCTYPE html>

This doctype must be the first line item in the HTML code on your page.

I would like to make this ONE CHANGE ONLY to my confirmation page.

There is no obvious theme section for the confirmation page. The theme.liquid file already has this line at the top, but it is not clear that this will cover the confirmation page. There is a custom-html.liquid file, but that is used for a widget on the storefront. There is an Additional Scripts entry field in the store settings but this is for scripts, not HTML per se, and it's not clear that this would affect the confirmation page.

Hi,

It doesn't appear like a reply has been marked as an answer yet, so I figured I can reuse this discussion.

I am also using Dawn (now 10.0.0) and just want to check whether anyone has been able to confirm whether adding the

<!DOCTYPE html>

was necessary anywhere or if it can be attempted as is?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
