Hide "FREE" shipping text or change wording in checkout

I have certain shipping methods, that I add shipping cost in prior to finalizing the order (ex. next day air, 2nd day air, etc).  Is it possible to hide on these methods the "FREE" wording or change it to "Will Advise" or "TBA"?

click Online Store then the three dots to the left of Customize.  then Edit Default Theme Content.  in here you can change all sorts of the default text 

at the top search for Free and then find the field you want to change.  if you want it to be blank just press the spacebar once in the field

The issue with this option is I have a free shipping option over a certain dollar amount and certain products ship for free.  I just want to change the wording or hide the wording on a few shipping methods.

try going to Shipping and Delivery then clicking where you created the Shipping fees and limits.  in there you can type what it says.    mine says Shipping for some.  Free for others.  yet I can change that text.

Below are some screenshots from checkout.  I went into Default Theme Content and removed Free from the shipping methods.  Is there a way when 2nd Day Air PPA or Next Day Air PPA is selected, to show Will Advise for shipping above the total, instead of FREE and have no shipping shown above Total when Ship Collect is chosen (or hide shipping)?
