Hide variant shopify

Hi all,

I'm working on a Shopify project and I use the Easify Option plugin to manage product variations. The problem is that, even though I've hidden the default Shopify variants, when a user clicks "Add to cart", the default Shopify variant is still automatically selected.

I would like to know how I can completely disable the Shopify variant selection (without deleting them), so that only the options chosen via the Easify Option plugin are sent to the cart. I've currently hidden the variants, but they seem to remain active and are automatically selected.

Does anyone have experience with a similar issue or know of a way to fix it? I'm looking for a solution that allows me to keep the Shopify variants in the backend, but disable them visually and functionally in the frontend, so that they don't affect the user experience.

Hi @shoplina 👋 unless the app is generating a custom productVariant/custom-line-item per order then the default variant is required to make a purchase.

Otherwise it's not an order for an item it's a poorly implemented custom contact form.

Variants' become line-items, and line-items get the line-item-properties such apps use.

At minimum use CSS to hide some detail during the cart steps, but once in checkout that detail may not be hideable.
