Hierarchy-based breadcrumbs

Hello,

I would like to include a hierarchy-based breadcrumb on my product display. This would be something like this:

Collection A > Collection B > Product Type > Product Title.

My store sells shoes, so I would look to have something similar to this: Shoe Brand> Gender > Collection > Product Title

I have added a custom section in Dawn theme but would like to have a breadcrumb in the format above. Can this be done?

I can implement this but with a limitation as of now. So the breadcrumbs will show the exact path the user has taken. 

So as of your example if the user does go this path of collections so 

Shoe Brand> Gender > Collection > Product Title then it will show accordingly.

But if the user came directly to the product page from home page then it will probably show home and may be colection, don't even remember properly as I tried something like this a good time before
