Horizontal Line Debut Theme Footer

Hello, I need assistance adding a horizontal line to my Debut theme footer. I want the separation between my page and my home page and my footer.  One like the dark purple one shown below. Thanks for your assistance.

Hey there.

open your footer.liquid.

First line, add an <hr> at the beginning.  Should do it for you.  If not, let me know and I will be happy to take a look for you.
