How can I add a Local Pickup option to POS sales?

Is there a way to add Local Pickup to a sale that is put through on the POS? Have had a look and can't seem to find it - we run a lot of preorders which customers preorder via the store and POS and currently we then have to email them to let them know the order is ready when the preorder period ends.

If not is there a way to log this as a feature request?

Yes would be great to have local pick up for pos orders and fulfilment from the pos . I do t think it should be a bog issue for shopify to implement it

Did you ever find a solution that works? I'm not trying to add another $50+/month fee to shopify with another app when I already have so many add ons to make it work how I need, but there has to be a way to do this since it's already baked into the shopify store for e-comm. Like you I place most of my orders in store that are custom items, then we need to notify the customer it's ready for pickup and ultimately mark picked up.

Totally agree with what is said here. 

 

We have the same problem of pre-selling items that are out of stock via our POS.

POS Pro offers an option to ship these items to the customers. 
However, in most cases the customers prefer a store pickup and there is no clean solution to this. 

 

Is there a way to place a feature request?

The Shopify POS system misses some tiny bits like this one to become a suitable solution for many businesses like ours. 

I assume that this is the reason many shopify store owners currently use different solutions like HelloCash etc. for their POS.
