Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello,
I am trying to add a rich text section to one of our pages within our new website. My issue is when I save the new text section it is adding it to many other pages within the website. ( Which is under construction. )
What I want it to do is just add the text information to the page I am editing.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Hey Humphrey47,
When you are editing a page in the theme editor, you are actually editing the template for that page. Whatever you add will be added to each page that uses that same template.
The solution would be to create a separate template for this page. You can do this in the theme editor here
and then in the page in the admin, assign the new template to your page.
If you are going to have the rich text section on each page, just with different content, you could do this with metaobjects/metafields and dynamic sources in the theme editor - let me know if you want to know more about this!
All the best,
Rhianna

Did you ever find out how to do this via metaobjects? I need this as well for our blog articles.
