How can I add color swatches filter on Dawn theme collection page?

Hi,

I'm struggling to find a way to put a colour swatches filter on the collection page instead of plain text. Example below:

Is there any solution to that or there should be an update in the near future on the Dawn theme?

Thanks for posting to the Community Forums, I hope your day is going well!

While this option can't be enabled natively, it can be enabled by using an app. There are a few different apps available, however the most popular option is Variant Options Color Swatch. This all provides the option to add color swatches similar to the example provided, on the collection page.  There are a few more options available which you can find here. However some do not provide swatches to the collection page, and only to the product page.

When selecting an app, make sure to review the pricing, rating, and merchant reviews. Reading the reviews allows you to understand the benefits and complaints other merchants have using the app, which will allow you to make an educated decision. 

Also keep in mind, most apps have a trial period you can utilize. This way you can test the app out for yourself. If you don't intend to continue on with the app, make sure to delete it from your account before the trial ends to ensure you are not charged. To delete an app simply head to your Shopify Admin > Apps > Delete.

It seems that we can fix this problem refer to Here by using text metafileds and Color.png images. But it can' work in the dawn theme. Does anyone have the same problem? ^_^
