How can I add multiple images per variant in Dawn theme?

Hi, 

I am currently setup my store in Dawn and am wondering if there is a solution to have multiple images per variant? 

I didn't find a solution how to adjust the code of the theme.

Hello! I know this is an older topic, but I wanted to respond for others who might have the same issue. If you’d like to show only the relevant images for each variant on the product page, you can try the Rubik Variant Images app. This app allows you to add multiple images for each variant and only displays the images of the selected variant. It's free for up to 10 product configurations.

yes, you can however its going to require a bunch of custom code dealing with alt tag for your images.  I would hire a dev unless you know code if you know code youtube coding with jan.. warning you must know code to follow along if not please hire a local dev!

Dawn is 2.0 theme and therefore it needs a unique solution for this...

Still no success I assume? I have not been able to solve it myself but it seems like a very central issue for a theme that is supposed to target fashion websites. The video linked above seems to address the issue but the coding is no longer the same as mentioned. Anyone?

How does the code differ? The app I linked to can sort images at least to one variant, not sure about multiples. The author of the app might be able to spin it up, though. Worth contacting him.

The app feature costs 8-9 euros monthly, if you start paying for every little thing you will end up paying several k yearly, which is not an option for a small online store. this feature should be in every shopify app by default... my opinion shopify is very basic for the money...

Can't really help with Dawn. Our Symmetry and Showcase themes have this built-in now natively. So no apps are needed. We added it in the latest update. To learn the steps involved to make it work, you can see our support page on the topic.
