How can I add text to my checkout page total?

Hi, 

I am trying to add some text at checkout page, where it shows shipping fee with the total and the item.. how can I do go about adding some text there? I hope I am making sense. if not, please let me know and I will explain. I am trying to attach a screenshot and its not allowing me here.... basically I want to add some shipping message right at checkout before they pay for the total...

Hi @auora, 

This can definitely be done. Typically you can utilize Shopify's Language Editor and add or alter a pre-existing message. If you are able to describe where you want your message and what the message is then I can definitely guide you further. 

For example, if you navigate to Settings (bottom left corner) > Checkout > Checkout language / Manage checkout language. You will see a search field where you can enter "shipping method notice."

You can add a message into this field as shown below:

Which will show up in this space here:

Another option would be the use of an app such as Pop-Up Window to add a message that can't be missed!

You are a Rockstar. That is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much! Mine doesn't say "shipping method notice" like yours, it says "shipping method title" so I added my message there and it worked! 

That pop-up window app is helpful but I am just starting out so I might use it in the near future.

I have checked out the page here on shopify on seo analytics and that was helpful but I feel like I need more advice and maybe a little bit of guidance on how to put the products out there. It would be my pleasure to assist you further! I believe when it comes to marketing and producing effective SEO, it depends on what you are selling and who your target audience is. 

Can you tell me a little more about your business and products? What are your typical customers like as far as the demographic? 

With marketing in general, you'll want to have some fundamental things in place, like a solid brand. A relatable and interesting brand will make marketing a breeze with easy to produce content. Here are some of my favourite resources for brand building: 

How to Build Your Own Brand from Scratch - this is a great starting guide that breaks things down into easy steps. 

Shopify Logo Maker - fun and easy to use resource where you can plug in some quick details about your store and browse through hundreds of generated logos. This is a great way to find something that speaks to you, (whether it's the color scheme, font, design, etc) and something you can build on or edit further.

What is Branding - 99designs

- This is a third-party resource but I love their use of examples to really help visualize and understand how powerful branding can be. 

The other important key when it comes to marketing is having a social reach. This means you need to begin (or continue to) curate a social media account like instagram. This account will enable you to further solidify your brand, give you a place to build a following and market your products in a unique way. 

Gaining followers can be tricky, but we have a guide with helpful strategies you can access here.

As for SEO, this is a great starting point just to help you gain a better understanding of the ins and outs of SEO and how it will benefit your business in the long run.

Like @auora, I couldn't find "shipping method notice" as @Ren suggested. But I did find 

"Shipping method title" under Checkout language. This, at least, allows me to message that customers' POD order will take longer than usual for delivery.
