Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello,
I am sorry, but I have another question.
I sell Clothing and some of them are vintage.
On the Collection Product grid, I would like to add a filter, so only the vintage pieces appear.
Right now, the products don't have a 'vintage' Tag or anything, it only says vintage in the description and the title.
Is there a way to make a Metafield filer, to only show products with a specific word in the title?

thank you!
Hi @lailalaila!
Your question is a great one!
Nice idea on allowing the option to showcase only your vintage pieces. Metafields enable you to customize the functionality and appearance of your Shopify store by letting you save specialized information that isn't usually captured in the Shopify admin. We have some more information in our help center here if you wanted to check it out. You can use metafields for internal tracking, or to display specialized information on your online store in a variety of ways. You can add additional types of metafields in the following ways:
If you'd prefer not to go down the third party apps route or are unsatisfied with the results, then you could look into editing your theme code instead. Your next option would be reaching to a Shopify Expert that specializes in Metafields. Experts are trusted, third-party agencies and freelancers who offer services for Shopify merchants. Aside from the above, I did have a peek through your wonderful store and wanted to say well done as you can see a great deal of work went into it. Your products are super cool and I love the layout and design of your store. One thing I wanted to mention as a suggestion would be to link a contact us page to your footer so that your customers can easily get in touch with you. I was unable to find any contact information without doing a little digging on your site. If you would like to add this, you can do by following this help guide here.

Hi @lailalaila
I think you should try tagging apps like Auto Tags,
Out of many tagging features, you can automatically add tags based on the description or the title.
The workflow for this will be like: If the product description contains "vintage", add "vintage" tag.
similarly, configurations can be made for product descriptions, type, metafields, and many more.
Also, Tags can work really great as filters in my opinion.
