Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello!
I want to create a page on my website with an email list sign up form. I want to create this in a separate page on my website so I can have a qr code at in-person markets that leads people to the sign up form. Currently I have a paper list, and really hate having to add all the emails manually after each event. There are also some events where I don’t have space to put out the sign up sheet. So I thought a qr code directing customers to a sign up page would be the best solution to these issues. Is there a way to do this?

Hi, @Bellinghamster!
Thanks for reaching out in our Community Forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.
Using a QR code that directs to your newsletter sign-up form is a great idea! To implement this, start by accessing your Shopify Admin. Navigate to Online Store > Pages and select "Add a page" to create a new page. Then, give it a title and click Save.
Next, you can add this page to your footer or main menu by going to your navigation settings. You will then need to access the page through the theme editor. Once there, select "Add Section" and add the Email Signup form. You will then be able to edit the content as desired. Remember to save your changes.
By following these steps, you can create a dedicated page with the newsletter sign-up form and integrate it into your website using a QR code.
Regarding your in-person events, are you currently selling your products in person? If so, are you using the Shopify Point-of-Sale solution?

Thank you for this! It worked perfectly!
And yes, I am using the shopify pos. I really enjoy how easy it makes taking payment in person.
Hi again, @Bellinghamster!
Thanks for following up.
I'm glad to hear that the solution worked for you and that our point-of-sale solution is making capturing payments easier! If you want to provide an additional incentive for customers to sign up for your email list, you can edit your "Customer marketing confirmation" to include a small 5% discount code as a token of appreciation for their support. This way, customers will feel encouraged to join your email list and enjoy the benefits of the discount.
I hope this suggestion helps! If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to ask.
Happy Holidays!

Hi Mac, tried sending you a dm but you don't have them enabled. Can you help me with my post? **Willing to donate**
Hi, @LeftCoast!
Thanks for joining this thread.
I understand that you are facing a similar situation where you would like to require customers to input their email address to access a specific page. The Locksmith app is an excellent solution for hiding specific content from certain customers. Another option is to add a store pop-up that gives customers the option to add their email address and join your newsletter. However, if you specifically require their email address as a requirement, this may not be the ideal solution.
There are multiple approaches you can take to achieve your goal, so feel free to explore different options and see what works best for your business!

I'm trying to do this, and forgive me if I'm being an idiot, but I really can't find the "add section" part from within the theme editor. Where can I find this? Are you able to provide a screenshot?
Thanks so much
Hi, @RileyW!
Thanks for joining this thread.
No worries at all. These sections may vary depending on the theme, which is why you were unable to find it. If you are using a Shopify Online Store 2.0 theme, then you will see the "Add section" button on the left hand panel like so:
Once you click on it, you will be able to select many different types of sections, including the Email Signup form. You can also check out our Help Center document here that goes into more detail about this.
Let me know how that goes!

Thank you, you're absolutely right in that I wasn't using a 2.0 theme so it wasn't there. I've updated and created the page I needed now, thanks for replying!
Hi again, @RileyW!
I'm glad to hear that I was able to help. If you're still in process of setting up your shop, I suggest viewing The General Checklist as it’s great tool that will ensure that you have your Shopify store all set up. You can go through the check list and be confident that you have a finished product, that includes having your media, shipping and check out all in working order.
All the best!
