Building a theme on Shopify involves a certain knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Liquid, which is Shopify's templating language. If you are not comfortable with HTML, CSS, and Liquid, you may want to consider hiring a Shopify expert or using a pre-made theme from the Shopify Theme Store.

You can build a new theme from scratch, or build it on top of Dawn which is our reference theme.
