How can I fix the default color of product images in my online store?

Hi! I need some help with my shop, all my images in the main shop window are white.

 but when I click on one of them the first one that displays is black ( see below) 

Is there a way to make sure the one displayed is white upon clicking on it. ( this happens to every single product on the page by the way)
