How can I generate a sample personalised book preview in Shopify?

Hi,
We are using shopify to create and sell personalised books and we are looking at generating sample personalised book for the customer to preview. 


Is there an ability to create custom components to be added to the product detail page that allowed for input and pdf previewing.

This is possible you can make use of new shopify metafield. And show it on the store front so the customer can preview the part of the book.

I will suggest to get a dev so you can customize it as required.
But yeah its possible on shopify.

Sweet make sense, I'm a developer my self. I was wondering where to start, the development documentation seems quite confusing,  would it be an app or a theme extension?
