Good morning, I would need some help since I have no idea how to do it on shopify, I wanted to close the store and give the possibility for people to enter it only by password but in addition I wanted to add a waitlist where the people can give email, name ecc.., in this way I could have more people in my newsletter and send them the password to enter the store, does anyone have any idea how to do it?
Something like in the picture below

@Thechall3nge you can do that same thing throughout the use of registration page .but if you want to create like this then you can use registration filed to make waitlist option.

To close your Shopify store and allow access only through a password, you can follow these steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin dashboard, go to "Online Store" and then click on "Preferences."
  2. Scroll down to the "Password protection" section.
  3. Enable the "Enable password" option.
  4. Enter a password that you want to use for accessing your store. Make sure to choose a strong password.
  5. Save the changes.

Once you have enabled password protection, your store will be inaccessible to visitors who don't have the password. To provide a waitlist where people can enter their email, name, etc., you can use a Shopify app that offers this functionality. One popular app for creating waitlists is "Pre-Order Manager" by Omega.

Here's how you can set up a waitlist using the Pre-Order Manager app:

  1. Install the "Pre-Order Manager" app from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Configure the app settings according to your requirements.
  3. Set up a pre-order product or create a hidden product that represents your waitlist.
  4. Customize the product page or waitlist form to include fields for customers to enter their email, name, etc.
  5. Set up automated emails to send the password to customers who sign up for the waitlist.
