How can I make my banner or slideshow clickable?

I would like to make the slideshow/banner area clickable without having to add buttons. I would like them to link to the proper collection or the product shown in the banner.

This is a great idea! That way if your customers are interested in the contents of the image, they can browse that specific collection or product by clicking on the slideshow.

By default, Shopify themes will allow you to create a link on the slideshow image but it will display a button on the slide. We do offer a tutorial that covers How to Make Your Slideshow Clickable using a Shopify theme. If you run into any issues with making the change, we can use free design time for Shopify themes to allow our themes team to complete the customization on your behalf. In order to use the design time for Shopify themes, we will need you to navigate to our Contact Us page and login to your store. This will securely verify you as the store owner when you contact our support.
