How can I modify the content of my new 'About' page without affecting others?

I created a new page titled "About" and would like to have a large rectangular image on it as well as a paragraph or so beneath. Currently on the page is the same thing that appears on my "selected works" page and if I try to delete the images it deletes them for both pages.
