How can I optimize my website for desktop without affecting mobile view?

Hi there,

As the majority of our traffic will be directed via mobile, I have optimised our site for that platform.

Now I am in a predicament of trying to sort out the desktop version without effecting the mobile view.

I have added screen shots of what I'd like the desktop view to look like - and if anyone can help me out in doing so I will buy you a coffee 🙂

Many thanks - Joe

I understand this layout will require me to create some new images exclusively for the desktop view.

But yes any help is appreciated!

Many thanks, Joe

Hi @Jferguson1 Thanks for providing the URL, I have looked into the store and that the images you have provided is different for what I am seeing in the store.

  • There is a weird black line on the store after section, if you have added it then no issue, but if didn't have added it manually then you need to remove that. as I have checked it for mobile version as well as found that these lines are not there.

  • You are right that you need to upload the images specific to desktop version so that it will optimize accordingly and in most of the theme there is a option where you can have two different images i.e. for mobile and desktop separately.
  • The third step, i.e. page after email gate, you need to design it manually for desktop version as I can see you may be using multi column or row section from the theme.
  • One more thing that I have noticed that there is no footer section in your design as well as in your store, usually sites with footer and having information of the store i.e.: about us page, privacy policy etc, have more conversion rate compared to sites which don't have these pages.

If you will unable to implement the same then I'm happy to do this for you, let me know. I can implement the changes so that this will work well for you. If you need any other help then please feel free to ask the same.

Hopefully it will help you. If yes then Please don't forget hit Like and Mark it as solution!

Hi @sahilsharma9515

Thanks for getting back to me.

the images I provided are what I would like the desktop version to look like once the necessary changes have been made.

the weird black line is a gap between sections (the ride theme’s background behind sections is black).

And there is no footer as of yet as this is the pre launch version of the site - no conversions will be conducted as of yet.

if you could help me out with this I would be hugely grateful and will reward you accordingly.

many thanks, Joe
