How can I prevent mobile apps from switching to dark mode?

Here is an issue that I'm facing, and I have some others face this issue as well and I would like to get some help on this.

So basically, when a phone is set to dark mode in their phone settings and they open any app that supports it like i.e. instagram, tiktok or whatsapp it goes to a dark theme, makes bright colours appear darker. Now, the thing is, while they are in any app that is on dark mode and they open a link from it like from any ad for example, it turns that website to dark mode as well. So it changes white colours to a grayish colours, darkens down bright colours and messes up the whole look of the website!

I know it doesn't have much to do with my website, but is there any info on how to solve this issue or at least prevent it? Because I can imagine it to worsen the users experience.

In order to see the issue I'm facing, you have to open the link thru any social media app in which dark mode is enabled. Simply putting it in the browser will not work.

I hope you got information on a workaround for that.

I tested and it works fine

If you add css code to it you can use 'prefers-color-scheme: dark'. Refer link

Hello @Litos, I have reviewed the link you shared but don't understand how your have solved the problem (android on dark mode, showing black background even if the theme setting is set on white): could you please share the steps you have followed? what code did you use? where did you add it? etc. 

I have reviewed many threads on this topic but none is clear on how to solve the problem once and for all.
