Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
I would like to know how I can resize the image banner I put in my default collections. I would like to make the image banner height smaller. Right now the shortest I can make it is by selecting "Small" in the Banner Height dropdown or by checking the "Adapt section height to first image size" checkbox. However, I want the banner to be the same height that the blue bar is in my "About Us" and "Home" pages in my website: https://texasdtech.myshopify.com/

Hey again, @txdtech.
Thanks for following up with me and passing along the password for your password page.
I took some time to jump into your store and explore. I did notice the size difference in the blue bar that was appearing above the banner images on your Home/About Us pages, and the bar on your Collection Pages.
After this, I downloaded a version of 'Refresh' to my own store to explore the settings a bit. Depending on the version/coding of your theme, I may have determined a way for you to reduce the size of the bar that appears on your collection page:
I found for me, that this slider impacted the size of the spacing bar that was on this page. Again, this functionality may not be in your theme's settings, depending on it's version, but I advise to check anyway to see if this helps.
If you're unable to find this setting, then I recommend reaching out to our Live Support team, as advised in my initial reply, for some next steps on having this change made.
In addition to me looking into this, I also spent a few minutes exploring the other areas of your store, and things look to be coming along well! I noticed that you don't have a Shipping Policy page built yet, so I wanted to pass along this resource here on how to build a Shipping page.
I hope you find the above information useful! If you need any additional assistance, or have any additional questions, please reach out to me here and let me know.

Hey there, @txdtech. Thanks so much for jumping into the Shopify Community with your theme question! It's great to meet you, and I hope you're doing well! The Community is a great place to come by any time you have questions about anything Shopify related!
Thanks for all of the context you've provided here in your post, and for the link to your site. Your site currently has it's password page up, so if you like, feel free to provide the password to bypass that page here so we can look at the pages and view the size difference in your banner.
Good idea to test the functionalities available to you in the theme editor for adjusting your banner size. These built in customizations are great, but they do sometimes miss that little extra piece to help you achieve what you're looking for. Ultimately, what you're looking to do here is make sure that the banner image for your default collection page is the same size as the header on your Home and About Us pages.
If you've tried the built-in settings, and they haven't done the trick, then we'll need to try a coding change to accomplish this. Shopify Support staff are unable to advise on coding changes (just in case what we advise breaks something) but I do have some avenues that you can try to get help with this:
Shopify Theme Specialist - Though staff like myself can't make the change, our Theme Specialist may be able to lend a hand! I recommend reaching out to the Support Team using this link so our they can touch base with a specialist. I can't promise what the outcome may be, but considering you're using Refresh, I'm optimistic that our team will be able to lend a hand!
Community Forums - The Community Forums (so exactly where we are now) is also a great place to go! There are so many Shopify Experts that scout these forums daily looking to help with questions. I wager that it's only a matter of time before a Partner jumps in and lends a hand with coding.
Shopify Experts - A third option available would be hiring a Shopify Expert to assist you. You can use this page to write a job post, letting Experts know the type of help you're looking for. Experts will reach out to you and let you know they can assist you with the task. I recommend taking advantage of the above methods first before going this route.
I'm curious to know more about your business! It looks like you're working in the tech field, but what specifically do you sell? I always love to learn more about the brands on the platform, and I love exploring the stores folks build to see what sort of actionable feedback I can provide to help folks like yourself make a few more sales!
If you have any questions about the information here, or want to tell me more about your business, feel free to follow up!

Hi Imogen,
I wish to have my homepage banner or any banner on any page i wish to add should be fit to screen just like efuel.se
I'm using refresh theme and i can't figure out how to make this happen. Tried different settings and the setting i'm using now makes banner smaller on larger screens and bigger on like macbook air 13.
Looking forward to your answer.
Hey there, @hassaanahmadd. Thanks for following up on our thread here. It's nice to meet you!
So I downloaded the newest version of Refresh to my store and explored the image banner/header options that are available to use right off of the hop. From my time exploring the theme, it looks like the ability to fit an image banner to the screen is not built into the theme - meaning that this has to be accomplished by custom coding. I explored the example website you provided and it looks like they've managed to combine their header with an image banner, or made that entire section with the image their header, and have the header fit to screen - something that also isn't available natively within the theme's settings.
Since you're using a Shopify Theme, you may be able to have this customization completed for you by our Theme Specialist by using up some of your free Design Time. All merchants has some free design time that can be used to help with a multitude of customizations to your Shopify Theme. I recommend reaching out to our Live Team using this link. The team is able to complete all customizations, but it's always worthwhile to reach out and see what we can do.
If it turns out that our Team can do the customization themselves, then your next move it to request some help from a Shopify Expert, or create a new post here in the forums asking for assistance. Shopify Experts are individuals who making their livings off of helping folks with customizations just like this. You can go to this page, post the work you're looking to have done, and Experts will reach out to you to lend a hand. Experts are great at what they do!
Posting your question as a new thread in the Community here could be great for you, too! Experts are always scouting the forums to questions to help out with. If you create a new thread, there's a chance an Expert will jump right in and provide you with some coding to try out in your store. Whatever option you decide to go with, be sure to provide that example website you provided me - it served as a great way to see exactly what you're looking for.
Do you mind me asking why you're looking to have an image fit to screen? Are you a fan of how it looks? What sort of products are you selling that you feel would benefit from the image fitting in this way?

Imogen
this is my first contact. I am frustrated; Cherished Possessions is my store. it uses ReSale World as its inventory and website platform. I have been downloading images from Google Photos for years into our website for display. Suddenly the size of the images is larger and makes viewing for consumers impossible. I just need to know how to reduce them back to their former size.
This has been hampering us for weeks during January. ReSale Worlds says its a Shopify problem. To access, go to Cherishedpossessions.com, find the introduction on the site that starts with Apologies! (to our customers) then click the Read More,. I have downloaded all images a Medium in size. I need all future images sized accordingly
