How can I use an SVG logo for the Dawn theme?

I'd like to have a vector image for our logo and I'm using the Dawn theme. I've seen a few tutorials on how to do this using liquid from a year or two ago, but both reference code that is not present in the current version of Dawn that I'm using.

Can anybody help me figure out what I need to edit? Thanks!

Send me your logo image so I can help you to convert it to SVG, and then you can upload it to your logo in Online store > Themes > Customize > Theme settings

Thank you! I already have it in SVG format, but the problem I've been encountering is that when I go to theme settings it won't let me upload an SVG -- it just says the image failed to upload (apparently shopify doesn't support uploading SVGs.

I was able to upload the SVG to the theme assets in the code editor, but I don't know how to edit the header.liquid file to make it appear, and none of the tutorials I've found reference code that exists in the version of Dawn I have.

Well I've figured out the issue -- you can't upload SVGs on firefox. No need to get involved with the code if you just use chrome for that particular task.
