How customers can create a custom order on each product

I have a meal delivery service and one of the options are making a custom meal plan picking and choosing the protein, carb, and veggie for each meal. The way I have it now there is a photo of the diffrent options and they have to type their choices in the order notes at checkout. This doesnt seem like the best way to do this.

Is there a way to have special order notes for individual products instead of just the whole order at checkout?

Does anyone have a better idea for customizing their meals?

Hi @jameschef86 Yes it's better either through either redoing your information architecture so collections, products/variants etc are better organized or presented for selection, such as using variant images to pick options combinations instead of typing text 🤢.

And/or advanced theme customizations. And/or product option personalization apps.

There's no magic solution the legwork has to be done for this type of stuff

Thanks Paul. I went through the Globo app an was able to enter all the info to customize the meals. The problem now is there is a lot of information on the page and it looks a little cluttered. Do you mind taking a look? The people at Globo said there isnt a way to consolidate this info with their app. Maybe you could give me a idea of how you would do it. I can pay if you have an option you could help me with.

When you pick an app to try and quickfix a product data&UI problem that can be locking in what the UI is when the app doesn't expose some way to customize the HTML structure.

Generally if there's enough traffic all of different UI's have to setup and a/b tested for user behavior to conversions.

For desktop I'd probably try and put all options on the same row.

For smaller screens either link the other meals input to the first meals inputs until they modify the additional ones, or put the additional ones through a progressive form;  or in tabs/date-tabs.

UI is iterative and takes effort.

Thanks for the detailed response. I am limited in how much I can do personally as this as this is all brand new to me. Is this something you would be willing to help me with in conjunction with an app of your choice? This current app is limited even with the paid subscription so I'm guessing this app wont be the answer. I don't fully understand all of your suggestions on how I can approach this.
