how disable auto select variant dawn them please help about it

Hello,

Im using Dawn theme.

I need to disable the auto-selecting of the first available variant. That way, the customer will be prompted to manually select a variant before he can add to cart. i read previous post about it and try the code its not work ,

please help me how solve this problem.

Please go to main-product.liquid file and remove code here:

remove active variantsremove id first variant

Does this only work in a specific Dawn version? I'm in Dawn 4.0. I can't find the code above in the "main-product.liquid" file.

I did it and now customer have to select size manual. But I want to change error message from: "Required parameter missing or invalid: id" to "Please choose your size" when customer forget choose size.
