Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi, my website uses the Craft theme and I am trying to add several images to a page that are clickable (to expand). I attempted a slideshow but, the ratio/image size didn't work with the slideshow format.
Here is my website in progress: Land and Roots | Texas Land Development Group – Land & Roots (land-and-roots.myshopify.com)
I am trying to add the images to this page: Country Roads on the Lake – Land & Roots (land-and-roots.myshopify.com)
Here is the inspiration from another website for how I want to add my images: Gallery – Hidden Valley Homes (hiddenvalleyhomesnashville.com)
Thank you!
Hi @landandroots ,
Please include the store password so we can have a look.
yes, its possible to some customization code
I have created a simple tutorial on how to add an image gallery to a page or blog on the Shopify website. You can follow through to create the same.
Thank you Lucid_Polygon, This works well - can you tell me how to give my images URLs so I can replace the ones you have used as exampes?
This is awesome! Whats the best way to link my images? Host them somewhere or? Replacing yours with mine is what I'm stuck at.
I had this same question and I had a friend help me. You can use the link to the photos you upload to Shopify. In your account, in the left side menu, click "Content" then click "Files" and you'll see a list of photos you've uploaded. If you hover over the photo, you'll see a hyperlink icon. Click that and it will copy the source code for the image. Then you can paste that over the link in the code that was provided.
Hi @landandroots,
We have recently developed an app that suits your needs.
Our app has the tag filtering function and also has clickable images with popup!

Let me know if you need any assistance to setup the app.
Here is the gallery page.
And popup on clicking the image!
The reference site you mentioned is built using the WordPress Elementor plugin. While there are numerous gallery plugins available—both free and paid—managing a gallery without an app can be time-consuming and challenging in the long run.
I recommend using Essential Grid, a popular tool for both WordPress and Shopify. It allows you to easily manage your gallery images directly from your Shopify content area. Additionally, it offers lazy loading for images, ensuring that your site's performance is not compromised.
Essential Grid also offers a free plan, making it a cost-effective solution. You can explore the features of Essential Grid and compare it with other Shopify apps in this post.
