How do I create a "gallery" type page to display images?

Hi, my website uses the Craft theme and I am trying to add several images to a page that are clickable (to expand). I attempted a slideshow but, the ratio/image size didn't work with the slideshow format.

  • This option would require quite a bit of development work.

Is there a way to add a title above each image? If its something thats not simple I can just write it on top of the image it self, but I was just wondering.
