How Do I Make Genre Section

Hi everyone!

I recently launched my Shopify store, buyloops.com, where I sell sample packs for music producers. Web design isn’t really my strong suit, so I’m hoping for a bit of advice!

I’m using a purchased template, but I’m struggling to add a couple of new sections. Specifically, I’d like to include:

1. A section that organizes sample packs by genre.
2. A section that organizes products by brand, featuring a list of the different producers who sell through my site.

I’ve attached a picture to show the layout I’m aiming for. Does anyone know if this is possible with Shopify’s templates, or if there are any apps that could help?

To organize sample packs by genre and brand on your Shopify store:

1. Create Collections:

   • In Products > Collections, create collections for each genre and producer.
   • In Online Store > Themes > Customize, add these collections as sections on your homepage.

2. Custom Sections (for more control):

   • Go to Edit code > Sections and create custom section files to display collections by genre and brand.

3. Use Apps:

   • Apps like Product Filter & Search or Collection Filter offer filtering options for genres and producers on collection pages.

Hey @buyloops 

The type of sections which you're referring to, if they are not in your theme by default then we will have to custom code it manually in your theme files. If you're not familiar with coding then I would highly recommend you to hire a Shopify developer who can help you out with that. Feel free to let me know and I would be more than happy to custom code these sections for you!
