Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi guys,
I'm having trouble with inserting a GIF into my abandoned cart email notification template. You would think that you can simply go to settings>files and then upload a GIF file, copy the URL and go to settings>notifications>abandoned checkout> and then copy the URL of the uploaded GIF into the email body.
This however results in the actual URL showing, instead of the GIF.
Can someone help me out please? When you reply, please be as specific as possible as I've seen some folks on here provide 'solutions' for this exact problem and it no way in heck works..
Thanks!

I found the solution!
Just use this tag and replace XXX with the URL of your uploaded GIF:
<IMG src="XXX">
Then, place it wherever you need it to show within the HTML body of your email template.

Hi Yarnell,
That's great!!
We would suggest uploading gift icons/images on your Shopify store and use the CDN URL otherwise many email systems will block the images.
Thanks!

this solution does work, but the gif is huge compared to my header and footer. And it only opened on my cell but not on my desktop. Any ideas?
