That depends!

If your theme allows it, you could look into the Products template and check if in the product form section the "Show dynamic checkout buttons" is selected.

If not, you may have to look into the product liquid file code.

My apologies, I meant the json file.

Find the product. "template".json file that is used for the product page, and find the line "buy_buttons".

There should be a "show_dynamic_checkout" line. Make sure that the option is false.

The 'Buy it now' button you're trying to remove is a dynamic checkout button. This button can help your customers check out faster with their preferred accelerated checkout method. If you'd still like to remove this you can do so using the settings in your theme editor. I'd recommend doing it this way rather than editing your theme code. To get into your theme editor go to Online store > Themes > Customize (next to the theme you're using). The settings may differ from here depending on the theme you're using. That being said, you can typically find the setting by navigating to your Default product template and selecting the Buy buttons block in the Product information section. If you disable the Show dynamic checkout buttons setting the button you're speaking about will be removed. You can see an example of what this setting looks like with the Dawn theme below.
